LNB Rehabilitation Centre invites interested persons to attend training programmes

Esam izstrādājuši divas apmācību programmas, kuras sniedz iespēju pilnveidot savas zināšanas un prasmes kontaktējoties un pavadot neredzīgus un vājredzīgus cilvēkus.

Accompanists are people who help blind and partially sighted people to get to where they need to be.

An assistant accompanying person does not only act as a companion, but has a much broader role. The assistant must have the necessary training to be able to assist with the various formalities. His/her duties include physically assisting and/or supervising the client with daily activities, mobility and household chores, maximising the client’s permanence and independence in the community, for example by driving, fetching and assisting the client to the clinic, hospital, passport office, bank or any other institution. The assistant’s duties also include assisting in various types of educational institutions, work and qualification courses.
